Redefining Rapid Travel with RAPIDX

The Namo Bharat Rapid Rail project, also known as RAPIDX, marks a significant leap forward in India’s transportation sector. Operating on a 17-km priority corridor between Sahibabad and Duhai Depot, the RAPIDX trains are not just symbols of speed but also of comfort, efficiency, and inclusivity.

Technical Marvels and Passenger Comfort:

Each RAPIDX train comprises six coaches, meticulously designed to cater to diverse passenger needs. Four standard coaches ensure spacious accommodation for commuters, while a premium coach offers luxury with reclining seats and extra foot space. Additionally, a coach dedicated solely to women passengers, mirroring the design of the Delhi Metro, promotes a safe and secure environment for female travelers. The trains, with a seating capacity of 407 and standing space for 1,061 passengers, are equipped with modern amenities, including on-board Wi-Fi, charging points for every seat, and an advanced public announcement and display system. The thoughtful addition of overhead luggage racks and dynamic route map displays enhances the overall travel experience, ensuring both convenience and efficiency.

A Glimpse into the Future: RAPIDX CONNECT and Sarai Kale Khan Terminus

In conjunction with the inauguration of the RAPIDX train, the NCR Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is set to launch its mobile app, “RAPIDX CONNECT.” This user-friendly app will provide commuters with real-time updates, ticketing services, and essential travel information, further streamlining their journey experience.

Furthermore, the indigenously built platform screen corridor, a testament to India’s engineering prowess, will be virtually unveiled. The NCRTC will also provide a sneak peek into the future with the showcase of the upcoming Sarai Kale Khan terminus in Delhi, promising a seamless transition for travelers arriving and departing from the heart of the capital.
